WWF Slovakia took part in the summer festival Pohoda at the Trenčín airport again this year. It is the largest festival of its kind in Slovakia with an attendance of 30,000 people. During the 3 days of July, 5-8 July 2023, we presented our work in the field of forest protection, biodiversity conservation and climate-smart forest management at the WWF stand in the area dedicated to NGOs – NGO passage. We discussed the projects and activities of the Forest Programme, the issue of climate change impact on the future of our forests and presented examples of climate-smart forest management measures within the CLIMAFORCEELIFE project. During the discussions we used interactive educational tools to help explain the issues in a simpler and more understandable way for the general public. The WWF stand was also visited by President Zuzana Čaputová, to whom we briefly presented the current activities that WWF in Slovakia is currently engaged in.
