WWF Slovakia

WWF-CEE has been operating in Slovakia since March 2014. WWF Slovensko (WWF SK) has been legally established in March 2019.
Today WWF Slovakia works on nature conservation priorities defined within three programmes – Forests, Freshwater and Wildlife. We strive to save natural old-growth forests and support nature-friendly forestry, promote green water management measures and importance of living rivers and implement programmes to protect large carnivores and improve coexistence with humans and supporting safe animal migration routes. WWF Slovakia’s biggest campaign led to the establishment of the National Old-growth Forest Reserve.
