On March 19, 2025, six forestry educators from SWSFE met with students from first to third grade from the 2nd Primary School “Gotse Delchev”. The school turned into a playground for fun games dedicated to the upcoming Forest Week.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the first Forest Week and the motto of the national campaign is “A century of eternity in conservation and care”. While having fun, the children gained valuable knowledge about forests and their inhabitants, learned how important the role of the forester is and how it depends on all of us to protect our beautiful nature. During the event, the foresters introduced the children to climate change, which has been occurring in recent years and is the basis of the international project CLIMAFORCEELIFE, of which the SWSFE is an associated beneficiary.
The motto of the SWSFE for the campaign is “The Golden Age of the Bulgarian Forest”.
