On 23 October, we spent a day with students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University in Bratislava in Záhorie region, where the experimental interventions of the CLIMAFORCEELIFE project are taking place.
As part of the CLIMAFORCEELIFE project, we presented to students how our activities in Záhorie are helping forests adapt to the extreme weather events and droughts they are increasingly facing. We discussed climate-smart management and the steps we are taking to ensure the forests are here for future generations. Discussing innovative forest management practices with students is inspiring and we are pleased and grateful for their interest in this topic.
