On 4 June 2025, our team presented the work on CLIMAFORCEE LIFE project during the LIFE Platform meeting – “LIFE and European Forests Restoration” in Brasov, Romania.
The event was organized by ELMEN and hosted by Carpathtia and was the largest such meeting organized to date, attended by more than 90 participants from all over Europe, representing over 30 projects.
In four thematic groups the main topics of the conference were presented, as follows: Ecological Restoration and Natural Regeneration; Forests and Climate Change; Agroforestry and Silvo-pastoral Systems and Socio-economic Opportunities and Financial Tools
Extremely useful experience was shared from the implementation of projects working on the restoration of forest habitats, adaptation to climate change, the protection of biodiversity, financing schemes and the promotion of good and sustainable practices to be included in national and European legislation.
Representatives of the European Commission shared challenges, opportunities and current policy development related to the New EU Forest Strategy for 2030, Nature Restoration law and the benefits of the LIFE Program.
During the third day of the conference, participants had the opportunity to visit two of the implemented projects on site and to get acquainted with the work of their colleagues from Romania.
