CLIMAFORCEELIFE prize for forestry students

The Forestry Faculty of the University of Sopron held its science conference of university students on 7 December 2022. More than twenty presentations were held in three sections: Nature Conservation, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Technical and Environmental Sciences.

WWF Hungary offered the CLIMAFORCEELIFE special prize for two papers discussing climate-smart forestry related topics: “Fine-scale mapping of habitat patches formed by natural forest dynamics processes in the Peszéri forest” by Mihály Koszta and “Spontaneous regeneration of Xerophilic scrub woodlands in place of previous black pine forests in the Keszthely Mountains” by András Zsiga.
