Over the weekend on 21.10.2023, WWF Slovakia and LESY SR, š.p., took advantage of the beautiful weather and completed the first of our commented walks “LET’S TALK ABOUT THE FOREST”.
In the magical environment of forests in Záhorie, we discussed with the participants what rare sites are hidden in the middle of the local pine forests and what we protect in them, what a healthy forest should look like and how to properly care for it. We also discussed the role of forests in climate change, and showed all the visitors the demonstration sites of CLIMAFORCEELIFE project to explain them the project objectives and Climate-smart forestry.
