The WWF ÉnErdőm (MyForest) application created within the framework of the CLIMAFORCEELIFE project showcases how a homogenous, plantation forest which lacks species and highly exposed to climate change can become a diverse and resilient natural forest with high biodiversity. With the augmented reality (AR) technological solution users can plant forest edges and tree seedlings, create aquatic microhabitats, install nestboxes, and view their forest becoming more and more diverse and natural.
Not only the forest itself, but also the animals and plants living in it feel climate change: for some it is beneficial and for others it can be fatal. In the second part of the game, users can learn about such species and guess if a species thrives or suffers due to climate change. The players answering correctly can take a selfie with Konrád, the little flycatcher.
